Going Off Script with Stampin’ Up!’s July Paper Pumpkin Kit – Because Rules Are Just Suggestions, Right?

This month’s July Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin’ Up! arrived, and I was ready—scissors sharpened, adhesive loaded, snacks nearby. (You do need fuel for creativity, after all.)

I started by making the first four cards exactly as instructed—and I have to say, they turned out beautifully! Think of them as the honor-roll students of the bunch. They followed the rules, behaved politely, and turned out just the way the designers intended.

But then…

Cue the dramatic crafting montage music… I went off script.

I grabbed some extra supplies from my stash, let my imagination take the wheel (always a fun gamble), and created four more cards—my way. I added my own twists, layers, maybe even some borderline excessive embellishments, and guess what? They turned out fabulous in their own unique way! Sometimes you just have to let your creativity run wild—preferably not through your ink pads.
